We are a small but accomplished team, based in the sleepy hollow of Pietermaritzburg. When you order from the Streets, rest assured that you’re getting that personally touched and honestly hand-crafted item.
The Streets Furniture Co. was birthed out of a desire Neil had since childhood – to bring something beautifully crafted to the marketplace.
Neil started his creative journey in music, however, upon completing his music degree at Howard College, he decided to steer in a different creative direction. Thus ‘The Streets’ (a name derived from the British rap group) was born. The journey began with a simple dining room table made from reclaimed timber during the summer of 2008 and has progressed into a niche, furniture outlet. Our online shop provides customers with a unique range of contemporary pieces, utilizing reclaimed, new and industrial-inspired materials, to achieve minimalist, timeless design.
The Streets now offers both custom-made furniture as well as specialized shopfitting in KZN, Gauteng and further reaches in our beautiful country. All our products are manufactured locally in South Africa from various materials. We source locally as far as possible, but also import hardwoods from the U.S. & Europe.
Our products go out to all parts of the country via courier, and we have many happy customers all over South Africa.
